Frustration or Motivation?

On first inspection CM seems frustrating, because it does involve some formalities. Nobody likes to fill out form after form. But on the other hand, it is much more frustrating not to be informed about the change of a certain function. Imagine you spend a couple of days working to find a solution on how to realize or integrate this function and finally you are told that your effort was a waste of time, because this particular function is not relevant any more. That is much more frustrating.

CM does not mean filling out forms all day long. CM helps to make data and information transparent. Thus it can be very simple to distribute information to everybody and to check it.

The way CM is used in a company or for a certain project depends on the requirements of each individual company and on the requirements of each individual project. For this reason the implementation of the right CM tool will provide numerous benefits.
