usb is pleased to announce that we were awarded the contract from EADS Deutschland GmbH to migrate their ADABAS/Natural based tools for Configuration Management (PCMS) and Bill of Material Management (KIS) from the mainframe environment to Unix (mainframe rehosting).

The project basically covers
  The complete transfer of all Natural sources and ADABAS files from mainframe to Unix.
  The new design of the complex batch processing under Unix incl. the generation of batch scripts out of the online
    environment.
  The conversion of external program sources like PL/1 into Natural.
  The adaptation of interfaces of the migrated applications to other systems.

usb's handheld solution provides users with the ability to record component/part serial numbers, track part installations and removals during maintenance processes and have access to entire product structures while away from the office.

The CM module developed by usb for Agile has been given an excellent assessment by the ICM, Phoenix, Arizona. The ICM has tested the CM software of all leading suppliers.
